Custom Engineered Barski Pump Station

Product Overview

Barski Industries designs and manufactures custom-engineered Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) lift stations and valve vaults for municipal, commercial, and industrial wastewater infrastructure. FRP construction delivers long service life (100+ years), complete corrosion resistance, and leak-free operation—providing a proven alternative to traditional concrete stations.

Barski integrates Xylem / Flygt submersible pumps and controls into our FRP pump stations, ensuring full compatibility, dependable performance, and long-term reliability in both wastewater and stormwater applications.

Each custom pump station is manufactured to project-specific requirements, using advanced engineering and filament-wound FRP construction for superior structural strength and durability. Barski stations can be installed as new systems or as slip-in replacements for deteriorating infrastructure, minimizing excavation, reducing downtime, and maintaining efficient site operations.

Key Features

Custom Fabrication

Diameters up to 12.5’ and depths exceeding 50’, engineered to site-specific hydraulic and geotechnical conditions.

Design Life

FRP construction provides a 100+ year design life; backed by a 25-year warranty on FRP components.

Leak-Free Structure

Fully sealed construction with fully laminated nozzles eliminates infiltration and exfiltration.

Low Maintenance

Smooth, white gelcoat interior reduces sludge buildup and requires minimal lighting for inspections.

Confined Space Reduction

Options for external or side-mounted valve chambers and remotely operated appurtenances.

Structural Integrity

Designed for full hydrostatic head when empty and available with H-20 traffic-rated tops.

Hydraulic Optimization

Multiple basin styles and custom benching configurations to minimize solids accumulation and extend pump life.

Rapid Installation

Delivered as a complete, factory-assembled unit. Only pumps, chains, and electrical components are installed on-site.

Internal Piping

FRP discharge piping (150 PSI rating) with integrated FRP nozzles; optional 316 SS piping available.

Pump Configurations

Simplex, duplex, triplex, and quadplex arrangements available.

Valve Vault Options

Attached FRP chambers (above or below grade) or stand-alone vaults.

Anchoring / Anti-Floatation

Positioning lugs to anchor the station in place, reinforced external ribs, and concrete base pad designs resist uplift in high water tables.

Applications

Barski custom-engineered pump stations serve a wide range of industries and applications:

Municipal Wastewater & Stormwater

Sewage lift stations, stormwater retention, combined sewer overflow.

Industrial Facilities

Pulp & paper, chemical, food processing, and other corrosive environments.

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’re here to help.

Standard diameters range from 4 ft to 12.5 ft, with depths up to 56–60 ft in a single piece (limited by transport). For larger or deeper applications, we supply sectional FRP stations that are assembled and laminated on-site.

Yes. For diameters above 6 ft or depths beyond standard TOP ranges, Barski supplies fully custom-engineered FRP stations.

  • Applications: Larger municipal or industrial flows, complex pumping arrangements, or projects requiring non-standard layouts.
  • Features: Options include increased wet well storage, specialized hydraulic benching, large-diameter piping, integrated mezzanine platforms, custom valve vaults, and flexible inlet/outlet orientations.

Yes. In collaboration with professional engineering firms such as March Consulting, Barski provides site-specific stamped drawings for:

  • FRP station structural design
  • Reinforced concrete base slab design
  • H-20 and higher traffic-rated top slabs

A geotechnical report is required for site-specific stamped base-slab design. Data on groundwater depth, soil bearing capacity, and buoyancy allows accurate foundation engineering. If a report is not available, Barski can design to a conservative default case, but this may increase foundation requirements.

Standard lead time is 8–10 weeks from final design approval. Larger, multi-section, highly customized systems, or request for special non-stocked parts may require additional time.
